Q.  What is the Wireless LCD Keypad?
A.  The LCD keypad is an in-wall interface for interacting with the Control4 system.

Q.  What is the difference between the LCD Keypad and the MiniTouch screens?
A.  The MiniTouch screens are full-color, touch-sensitive screens.  The LCD keypad is monochrome and does not have a touch screen.  Instead, the LCD keypad uses buttons that are context sensitive to the current screen being used.

Q. When would I use an LCD keypad instead of a MiniTouch screen?
A.  LCD keypads are great for cost-sensitive installations.  They are also an excellent control mechanism for areas where the primary interface is going to be controlling music.  Many homes will prefer a combination of both MiniTouch screens and LCD keypads.

The LCD keypad is also a great solution for areas where you can’t access cat 5 cabling and also have poor WiFi access.  Because it uses ZigBee to communicate, you only need to supply power to the keypad.

Q.  What colors are available?

A.  The LCD keypad is available in white, black, and almond.

Q.  How does the LCD keypad communicate?
A.  The LCD keypad uses ZigBee to communicate to the controller.

Q. Where can I buy one?
A. Glad you asked.

Looks like the LCD keypad has a speaker on it, if so, would this also function as a Mic, allowing  the unit to function as an intercom?
